LACHLAN ENDURANCE RIDERS CLUB

Will be hosting an Endurance Carnival for those interested in learning about
the sport and giving their horses a gentle introduction to travelling
distances with veterinary inspections. Newcomers will be able to ride
alongside very experienced endurance riders and be 'mentored' so to speak.
Endurance riders in general are very generous with their advice.

There will be a 20km social ride and 40kms Training Rides on both Saturday
19th and Sunday 20th February this weekend (a full moon weekend) at the Woodstock Showgrounds. The 40kms
can be used for Certificate K in Pony Club.

This weekend can be used to introduce new/young horses to the sport of
endurance without there being a competitive element present. Minimum times
will be set in accordance with the course distance and conditions on the
day. Horses must be 4.5yrs or older to compete in the 40kms Training ride
[or 3 and over for the 20kms Social ride] over some lovely country, with the
course winding its way in a loop starting and finishing at the Woodstock
Showground.

Entries will be taken from noon and vetting from 1pm Saturday. The 40kms
will commence at 3pm and the Social 20kms at 4pm Saturday evening. Sunday
morning vetting will commence at 6.30am as the Trainer will start at 7am and
a leisurely start time of 9am for the social. Costs are $45 for the trainers
and $25 for the socials.

The Lachlan Club will be hosting non-members of NSW by way of paying their
Day Membership for any/all events entered, an amount of $10.00.

The Lachlan Club will be hosting a Country night on Saturday 19th at 8pm
with a sausage sizzle available for $5 per head. It is byo alcohol. There
is also a pub in Woodstock with meals.
